Type species — Stenopsilus bimaculatus Gilmour, 1959 (original designation).

Diagnosis. Scape elongated, often distinctly expanded apically; prothorax with blunt or subacute tubercules slightly projected at posterior third; elytra without carinae or centrobasal crest. Number of species currently included: 8.
