Type species — Eucharitolus pulcher Bates, 1885 (monotypy).

Lepturdrys Gilmour, 1960a: 47 . Syn. nov.

Type species - Lepturdrys novemlineata Gilmour, 1960 (original designation).

Diagnosis. Antennal tubercles not elevated; antennae filiform; prothorax transverse, armed with a prominent lateral tubercle placed posteriorly, with apex directed backward. Pronotum without prominences. Prosternal process flattened. Metathoracic discrimen not reaching anterior margin. Number of species currently included: 10.

Remarks. According to Gilmour (1960a) on Lepturdrys : “This genus is most closely allied to the genus Lepturges Bates , but may be immediately distinguished through the comparatively broad mesosternal process, which is four times as broad as the prosternal process, and a third the breadth of a mesocoxal cavity, not nearly linear as in Lepturges .” Bates (1885) commented on Eucharitolus : “Most nearly allied perhaps to Lepturges , but differing in the width of the pro- and mesosternum [processes]” The detailed description of Lepturdrys does not allow separating this genus from Eucharitolus as both genera share identical or nearly identical characters. Accordingly, Lepturdrys is considered a junior synonym of Eucharitolus .
