Ascalaphus javana Burmeister, 1839: 1001 . Type locality: Indonesia (Java).
Diagnosis. This is a medium sized species (forewing length: 28.0–35.0 mm), characterized by the relatively long male ectoprocts (equal to the length of last two abdominal segments), the presectoral area in fore- and hind wing with six and seven crossveins, and with the distal one biaereolated in both wings ( van der Weele 1909: figs 184–185).
Distribution. Pakistan (Sindh province: District Karachi); Indonesia ( Sziráki 1998).
