Material examined. Northern Territory. 2 males, 4 juveniles, AM P.78792, Area C East, Arafura Sea (9°25'05"S 134°18'37"E), 89 m, Smith-McIntyre grab, sessile megafauna with a few muddy sand balls from hard grounds with many sessile fauna (octocorals, crinoids, anemones), 10 May 2005, coll. G.D.F. Wilson, RV Southern Surveyor (SS05/2005/013/DR001) GoogleMaps .
Western Australia. 4 males, 6 females, AM P.85234, Point Cloates, Ningaloo Reef (22°36’29”S 113°37’29”E) 15 m, dead coral head, 27 May 2009, coll. L.E. Hughes and N.L. Bruce ( MIWA 1058 , NR09 ) GoogleMaps .
Remarks. This species is found across tropical northern Australia.
Distribution. Australia. Queensland. Lizard Island; One Tree Island ( Berents 1983; Lowry & Hughes 2009). Northern Territory: Darwin Harbour (current study; Lowry & Hughes 2009). Western Australia: Ningaloo Reef (current study).
