Genus Homocaligus Berlese

Homocaligus Berlese, 1910: 203 . Type species: Stigmaeus scapularis Koch, 1838 , by original designation.

Paludocaligus Habeeb, 1966: 1 ; synonymy by Wood, 1969: 723.

Four species are known: Homocaligus scapularis (Koch, 1838) from western Europe, H. amphibius Vainstein, 1975 from former USSR, H. crassipus Fan, 1997 from southeast China and H. muscorum ( Habeeb, 1962) from north America.
