Checklist of Gerromorpha , Nepomorpha , and Leptopodomorpha of the Ionian Islands

This checklist was compiled with the records from De Carlini (1901), Sangiorgi (1903), Paganetti-Hummler (1906), Lindberg (1922), Kühnelt (1941), Brooks (1951), Linnavuori (1953), Wagner (1956), Zimmermann (1982), Jansson (1986), Nieser (1996), Csabai et al. (2017), Berchi et al. (2018a). The single record for Leptopodidae (not water dependent) was also included for completeness. Doubtful and problematic bibliographic records, those excluded from these faunas (not included in the checklist) and updated records are discussed below. Only the islands with records are included in the checklist (listed from north to south). Bibliographic records are indicated with a dot (●), the exclamation point (!) indicates the first records.
