Diagnosis. Mesoscutal midlobe areolate. Mesoscutal sidelobe smooth. Axillula with oblique carinae. Mesoscutellar disc with longitudinal carinae.
This species differs from those with similar mesoscutellar disc sculpture in having an areolate mesoscutal midlobe (lacking transverse carinae) but relatively smooth sidelobes ( Fig. 182 View FIGURES 179–184 ).
Description. Female. Length 2.5–2.9 mm.
Color: Head and mesosoma dark blue to purple. Pedicel yellow; anellus brown; flagellum brown. Coxae brown, becoming yellow at ventral edges; legs beyond coxae yellow, with fore femur slightly brownish. Fore wing hyaline; venation pale brown. Petiole dark blue-green; gaster brown with blue-green to purple luster.
Head: Head width:head height 1.2; reticulate dorsally, nearly smooth ventrally; longitudinal groove between eye and torulus present; eyes bare, inter-ocular distance:eye height 1.5–1.6; malar space:eye height 0.8; supraclypeal area longer than broad, smooth; clypeus smooth. F2 2.8–3.2× as long as broad, 1.2–1.5× as long as F3; following funiculars subequal in width, progressively shorter.
Mesosoma: Mesosoma length:height 1.3–1.4. Mesoscutal midlobe areolate, with minute setae; lateral lobe areolate to nearly smooth. Axilla areolate-reticulate with longitudinal carinae; mesoscutellar disc areolate with longitudinal carinae; frenal line regularly foveate; frenum areolate to nearly smooth; axillular groove indicated by a strong longitudinal carina; axillula with subparallel longitudinal carinae. Propodeum with median carina; propodeal disc areolate with longitudinal carinae; callus areolate, with a few small setae. Mesepisternum reticulate with longitudinal carinae laterally, with weaker but similar sculpture ventrally, broadly rounded anterior to mid coxa. Upper mesepimeron smooth; lower mesepimeron weakly reticulate; transepimeral sulcus distinct. Metepisternum laterally smooth to weakly reticulate. Hind coxa 2.1–2.4× as long as broad; hind femur 5.3–5.4× as long as broad. Fore wing 2.3–2.6× as long as broad, 2.7× as long as mesothorax; stigma with 4 sensilla in a row. Hind wing costal cell with a broad bare area.
Metasoma: Petiole 2.4–2.6× as long as broad, 0.8–0.9× as long as hind coxa, areolate with longitudinal carinae, anterior carina weak. Antecostal sulcus smooth; acrosternite posteriorly angulate.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Brazil, French Guiana.
