Habitat. Intertidal, mangrove areas, nipa palms, and seagrass beds, on sandy, sand-mud, and rocky substrates.
Remarks. Clibanarius striolatus is a common species in intertidal environments and is very abundant in the Philippines (authors’ pers. obs.). It closely resembles Cl. laevimanus (see remarks under that species).
