Description of gonopod. Slightly curved towards cephalic side on caudo-mesial view, narrower at end of proximal third. Marginal suture on mesial surface, not distorted to other surfaces. Distal portion of caudo-marginal projection unilobate, with slightly convex outline in mesial view. Marginal process (cephalic end of caudomarginal projection, sensu Villalobos & Alvarez, 2010) rounded, not produced beyond the mesial crest of apex. Mesial process weakly developed, as short, rounded protuberance. Distocaudal ridge elongated, extending distally from beginning of the second third of stem length. Apex elongated, narrow; mesial crest nearly straight, lateral crest slightly concave in apical view, both crests slightly convex in mesial view. Apex cavity situated distally, with both spermatic channel opening, field of apical spines positioned towards cephalic end; field of apical spines weakly developed.

Holotype and type locality. Male, cw 26.5, cl 15.8 (partially dearticulated), USNM 19487. Costa Rica, Cartago Province, between La Flor and Torito.

Distribution. Central Costa Rica, Atlantic drainage ( Fig. 77 ).

Remarks. Pretzmann (1980: 653) recorded four females from Agua Buena River (NHMW 4017) but their identification is doubtful because other pseudothelphusid species are recorded from the same area (e.g. Allacanthos pittieri , see below).
