Colophotia truncata (Olivier) View in CoL . McDermott 1966: 116.
Type. PHILIPPINES. Female. Not located by Ballantyne MNHN 2013 About MNHN .
Remarks. Olivier (1886) described a 10 mm long female having a pale dorsum with black tipped elytra from the Philippines (Mindoro). He highlighted the pronotal outline and the paired impressions across the posterior margin. McDermott (1966) erroneously assigned the species to Colophotia . External female morphology does not permit generic assignments unless there are distinctive colour patterns and similarities of geographical locations.
