ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1879: 22 (key), 23 (description).
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in Insubria [Insubria (= Lombardy, Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype ( MZUF: Box 66): Olfersia Wd. / garzettae m., It. Sup. [ Italia Superiore (= northern Italy)] / 3407 / holotype Olfersia garzettae Rndn. , ♀, T. C. Maa, [19]62.
CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Pseudolynchia garzettae View in CoL ( Soós & Hůrka 1986: 222, Pape et al. 1995: 8).
REMARKS: Rondani (1879: 23) described Olfersia garzettae , from a single specimen without specifying its sex: “ specimen unicum observavi [I observed a single specimen]”.
