Schleich et al. (1996) included a single record of this species from Libya from “Graret Seccar at the Oued es Sceberma, east of Fezzan, 16°E, 25°30′N ” as their only North African site for this species, which is otherwise distributed from Sinai through southern Jordan and Israel and the Palestinian Authority ( West Bank) and into Saudi Arabia ( Baha El Din 2006a; Sindaco and Jeremčenko 2008). This was based on Schnurrenberger’s (1962) earlier record (actually from N’el Mehershema) and certainly refers to T. steudneri .
