Distribution in Iran. Golestan ( Heiss 2002), Iran (no locality cited) ( Oshanin 1906, 1912; Safavi 1959, 1976; Putshkov 1965; Modarres Awal 1997b; Rider 2006; Mohaghegh 2008; Péricart 2010).
General distribution. Palearctic.
Comments. A predator which feeds on several insects: larvae of Timarcha sp. ( Coleoptera : Scarabaeidae ) (in Spain), caterpillars of Dasychiria selenotica ( Lepidoptera : Lymantridae ) (in Germany), butterfly Mythimna comma ( Lepidoptera : Noctuidae ) (in Andorra) ( Péricart 2010).
