Comments. We have observed some characteristics in C. dardanus that differ from those cited by Edmonds & Zidek (2010). The pronotum of this species, as well as that of C. terrali , possesses a distinct midlongitudinal sulcus, contrary to Edmonds & Zidek’s observation that this sulcus was absent. The cap of the anterior metasternal angle is variable: although it is simple in many specimens, as stated by Edmonds & Zidek, many others have it strongly forked. In addition, the cap is often followed by a small fossa (such as cited by Edmonds & Zidek for C. degallieri and C. parvulus ), and the metasternal disk has a weak midlongitudinal sulcus. These new observations are incorporated in our modification of Edmonds & Zidek’s key above.
