Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, Nankun Mountain; adjective.
Diagnosis. The female of P. nankunensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to that of P. zhenkangensis by anterior margins of LL almost straight, median margins of
LL seperated. It can be recognised by 1) LL narrower;2) IDS reaching anterior margin of EF (LL broad, IDS reaching at most to the median part of epigyne in P. zhenkangensis ).
FEMALE (LJ20210628004): Measurements: Medium sized. Body length 12.4, DS length 5.4, width 4.9, OS length 7.0, width 3.9. Eyes: AME 0.20, ALE 0.27, PME 0.23, PLE 0.25, AME–AME 0.18, AME–ALE 0.12, PME–PME 0.22, PME–PLE 0.36, AME–PME 0.33, ALE–PLE 0.27, CH AME 0.40, CH ALE 0.34. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2101, 1014; Fe I–III 323, IV 322; Pa I–IV 101; Ti I–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 3025, IV 3037. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 7.7 (2.2, 1.2, 1.7, –, 2.6); I 21.7 (6.5, 2.1, 6.1, 5.3, 1.7); II 25.8 (7.3, 2.4, 7.6, 6.4, 2.1); III 18.4 (5.6, 1.7, 5.1, 4.8, 1.2); IV 21.1 (6.8, 1.4, 5.4, 5.7, 1.8). Leg formula: II-I-IV-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 19 denticles.
Epigyne ( Figs 177A–C View FIGURE 177 ): As in diagnosis. EF almost twice as wide as long, with indistinct AB. LL touching each other medio-anteriorly in one point. Anterior margins of LL almost straight and posterior margins of LL distinctly rounded.
Colouration ( Figs 178A–B View FIGURE 178 ): DS reddish brown with dark marks and lines. Fovea and striae distinct. OS dorsally reddish brown with a yellow region at posterior part. OS ventrally reddish brown with several dark dots and four longitudinal lines in the middle part consisting of small to tiny yellow dots.
MALE: Unknown.
Remarks. This species maybe the potentially conspecific with P. yangtaiensis spec. nov. It is only roughly 100 km or so between the two localities, genitalia would/could match potentially considering the ones from P. papilionacea spec. nov., but colouration and especially setal cover on males DS is not matching. We will await future work and results to resolve this problem.
Distribution. China (Guangdong Province).
