Type material. THAILAND, Phetchaburi Province: Holotype female from Kaeng Krachan National Park [12.88°N, 99.63°E], 200 m, 16 November 1985, D. Burckhardt & I. Löbl leg. ( MHNG, MHNG0024 View Materials ). GoogleMaps
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin adjective stylaris , - is, - e, meaning “columnar”, referring to the shape of S in dorsal view; adjective.
Diagnosis. The female of P. stylaris Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to that of P. wamwo Jäger, 2015 (Jäger 2015) in having anterior margins of LL U-shaped, median anterior margins reaching into anterior half of epigyne but can be distinguished by: 1) IDS without glandular appendage; 2) Lateral part of IDS longer, with widened part of IDS posteriad (with such appendage, lateral part of IDS shorter, with widened part of IDS anteriad in P. wamwo ).
FEMALE (MHNG0024): Measurements: Medium sized. Body length 11.6, DS length 5.1, width 4.8, OS length 6.5, width 3.8. Eyes: AME 0.18, ALE 0.27, PME 0.22, PLE 0.28, AME–AME 0.22, AME–ALE 0.13, PME–PME 0.27, PME–PLE 0.39, AME–PME 0.31, ALE–PLE 0.29, CH AME 0.40, CH ALE 0.32. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I 322, II 323, III 322, IV 331; Pa I–III 001; Ti I 1024, II 2024, III–IV 2025; Mt I–II 1014, III 2025, IV 3037. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 7.2 (2.2, 1.0, 1.4, –, 2.6); I 19.8 (5.8, 2.2, 5.4, 4.6, 1.8); II 23.7 (6.3, 2.5, 7.2, 5.7, 2.0); III 16.5 (5.2, 1.9, 4.4, 3.6, 1.4); IV 18.8 (6.0, 1.2, 4.6, 5.1, 1.9). Leg formula: II-I-IV-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 17 denticles.
Epigyne ( Figs 233A–C View FIGURE 233 ): As in diagnosis. EF roughly twice as wide as long, without distinct AB. LL leaving large parts of the median septum freely visible medially. Median septum shaped as upside down glass. Laterally situated and strongly sclerotised lateral parts of IDS running a U-turn to their posteriad apical ends, clearly visible in dorsal view (i.e., not covered by FW). FD long and narrow.
Colouration ( Figs 234A–B View FIGURE 234 ): DS light yellow with scattered tiny, dark spots. Fovea indistinctly marked. OS dorsally with dark marks, ventrally with a few dark dots.
MALE: Unknown.
Distribution. Thailand (Phetchaburi Province).
