Type material. VIETNAM, Cao Bang Province: Holotype female from Pia Oac Forest , 22.60°N, 105.88°E, 1314 m, 6 August 2010, P. Lumboung leg. ( IRSN, IRSN0001 View Materials ). GoogleMaps

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin adjective anfractus, - a, - um, meaning “crooked”, referring to the crook-shaped S in ventral view; adjective.

Diagnosis. The female of P. anfracta Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to that of P. minor Jäger, 2001 (Jäger 2001) by having similar loops of IDS in ventral view, but can be distinguished by: 1) Anterior margin of EF distinctly trilobate; 2) Ends of anterior margins of LL anteriad; 3) Posterior part of IDS covered by LL in dorsal view (anterior margin of EF roundish with only short AB, ends of anterior margins of LL distinctly bent and mediad, posterior part of IDS freely visible in dorsal view in P. minor ).

FEMALE (IRSN0001): Measurements: Small sized. Body length 9.6, DS length 4.4, width 4.0, OS length 5.2, width 3.5. Eyes: AME 0.17, ALE 0.27, PME 0.19, PLE 0.24, AME–AME 0.15, AME–ALE 0.08, PME–PME 0.20, PME–PLE 0.34, AME–PME 0.31, ALE–PLE 0.24, CH AME 0.38, CH ALE 0.32. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–II 323, III 322, IV 331; Pa I–IV 001; Ti I 1024, II 2024, III 2026, IV 2126; Mt I–II 1014, III 3025, IV 3037. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 6.1 (1.7, 0.9, 1.3, –, 2.2); I 14.2 (4.0, 1.8, 3.7, 3.4, 1.3); II 17.2 (4.4, 2.0, 5.2, 4.1, 1.5); III 12.4 (3.8, 1.6, 3.0, 2.8, 1.2); IV 13.5 (4.2, 1.1, 3.2, 3.6, 1.4). Leg formula: II-I-IV-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 17 denticles.

Epigyne ( Figs 12A–C View FIGURE 12 ): As in diagnosis. EF slightly wider than long, with indistinct AB.

Colouration ( Figs 13A–B View FIGURE 13 ): DS reddish brown with dark spots, partly connected by fine lines, margin with thin dashed line and brown marbled pattern. Fovea and striae distinctly marked. OS dorsally reddish brown with a longitudinal white tripartite patch in posterior part, ventrally dark yellow.

MALE: Unknown.

Distribution. Vietnam (Cao Bang Province).
