Type material. CHINA, Sichuan Province: Holotype female from Bazhong City, Nanjiang County, Guangwu Mountain, Taoyuan Scenic Spot, 32.69°N, 106.79°E, 1703 m, 14 May 2013 , D. Wang & X. Jiang leg. ( CBEE, LJ 2118). Paratype: 1 female, with same data as for holotype ( CBEE, LJ 2119).
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, the Bazhong City; adjective.
Diagnosis. The female of P. bazhongensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to those of P. aliena spec. nov., P. kasariana Jäger & Ono, 2002 and P. spirembolus Jäger & Ono, 2002 ( Jäger & Ono 2002) by the anterior margins of LL distinct W-shaped, but can be distinguished by: 1) LL freely visible in ventral view; 2) IDS at least in posterior part freely visible in dorsal view (LL covered anteriorly by transversal rim, IDS entirely covered by FW in dorsal view in P. aliena spec. nov., P. kasariana , P. spirembolus ).
FEMALE (LJ2118): Measurements: Small sized. Body length 6.5–7.2, DS length 3.0, width 2.7, OS length 3.5, width 2.2. Eyes: AME 0.11, ALE 0.23, PME 0.13, PLE 0.19, AME–AME 0.12, AME–ALE 0.06, PME– PME 0.17, PME–PLE 0.28, AME–PME 0.25, ALE–PLE 0.23, CH AME 0.31, CH ALE 0.26. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–II 323, III–IV 322; Pa I -; II–III 101, IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 3025, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 4.2 (1.2, 0.5, 0.9, –, 1.6); I 10.2 (2.9, 1.2, 2.7, 2.4, 1.0); II 12.5 (3.3, 1.4, 3.8, 2.8, 1.2); III 8.8 (2.7, 1.0, 2.2, 2.0, 0.9); IV 9.7 (3.0, 0.6, 2.3, 2.7, 1.1). Leg formula: II-I-IV-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 18 denticles.
Epigyne ( Figs 29A–C View FIGURE 29 ): As in diagnosis. EF wider than long. AB absent. Median part of LL extending in anterior half of epigyne. FW covering anterior part of IDS. FD long, narrow.
Colouration ( Figs 30A–B View FIGURE 30 ): DS yellow with brown spots and lines, two lateral bands, margin with thin dashed line and brown pattern. Fovea and striae distinctly marked with reddish-brown dots. OS dorsally reddish brown, with lots of reddish-brown dots at anteriorly part and with indistinct transverse yellow line at posterior part, ventrally yellow with several reddish-brown marks.
MALE: Unknown.
