Type material. CHINA, Hubei Province: Holotype male from Yichang City, Wufeng County, Qiaoliao Village , 30.37°N, 110.54°E, 967 m, 5 June 2021, Yang Zhong leg. ( CBEE, LJ201804771 ) GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 10 males, 12 females,

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin adjective gracilentus, - a, - um, meaning “slender”, referring to the slender E; adjective.
Diagnosis. The male of P. gracilenta Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to that of P. lushanensis by long filiform E with broad base, but can be distinguished by RTA with short and slightly broad ventral extension (RTA longer, simple without additional apophysis in P. lushanensis ). Females of P. gracilenta Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. resemble to those of P. kasariana by anterior part of LL covered by a transversal rim, but can be distinguished by: 1) S freely visible in dorsal view; 2) Lateral margins of LL with broad part posteriorly (covered by FW, broad part anteriorly in P. kasariana ).

Eyes: AME 0.13, ALE 0.22, PME 0.16, PLE 0.20, AME–AME 0.13, AME–ALE 0.08, PME–PME 0.19, PME–PLE 0.31, AME–PME 0.28, ALE–PLE 0.26, CH AME 0.36, CH ALE 0.29. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2101; Fe I–III 323, IV 322; Pa I–IV 101; Ti I–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 3025, IV 3037. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 5.8 (1.7, 0.7, 1.1, –, 2.3); I 16.2 (4.7, 1.5, 4.5, 4.2, 1.3); II 18.4 (5.1, 1.6, 5.4, 4.7, 1.6); III 13.5 (4.0, 1.2, 3.8, 3.5, 1.0); IV 15.6 (4.8, 1.0, 4.0, 4.4, 1.4). Leg formula: III-IV-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 29 denticles.
Palp ( Figs 114A–C View FIGURE 114 ): As in diagnosis. Retrolateral margin of cymbium strongly bulged. C arising from T at 1:00 o’clock position. T oval-shaped. E arising from T, basally broad, with long and filiform apical tip. Spermophor running marginally along retrolateral T, then running S-shaped near the E. RTA basally broad, arising sub-distally from Ti.
Colouration ( Figs 116A–B View FIGURE 116 ): DS yellow with dark marks and hairs, submarginally with irregular dots. Fovea and striae indistinct, covered by coloration pattern. OS dorsally yellowish to reddish brown with dark marks, with a transverse yellow line in posterior half. OS ventrally yellow with dark marks and pattern, irregular arranged, some dots fused in front of the spinnerets.
FEMALE (LJ201804782): Measurements: Small sized. Body length 8.1–9.3, DS length 4.4, width 3.8, OS length 4.5, width 2.5. Eyes: AME 0.18, ALE 0.28, PME 0.21, PLE 0.24, AME–AME 0.15, AME–ALE 0.09, PME–PME 0.23, PME–PLE 0.37, AME–PME 0.32, ALE–PLE 0.28, CH AME 0.42, CH ALE 0.35. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–II 323, III 322, IV 331; Pa I–III 101, IV 000; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 3034, III–IV 3036. Epigyne ( Figs 115A–C View FIGURE 115 ): As in diagnosis. EF roughly as long as wide, without AB and with a pair of slit sensilla. LL touching each other along the middle line in anterior half. S long and with oval-shaped apical structure, clearly visible in dorsal view.
Colouration ( Figs 116C–D View FIGURE 116 ): As in male, generally darker and with fused dots in front of spinnerets of triangular shape.
Distribution. China (Hubei Province).
