Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, the Doi Wao; adjective.

Diagnosis. The male of P. waoensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. can be recognised from those of other Pseudopoda species by: 1) E broad, with long basal part, its tip sickle-shaped; 2) Both dRTA and vRTA with sharp tips in ventral view. The female of P. waoensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to that of P. damana Jäger, 2001 (Jäger 2001) by anterior margins of LL extending longitudinally, but can be distinguished by: 1) Sclerotised part of IDS smaller in ventral view; 2) Posterior margins of LL evenly rounded (sclerotised part of IDS occupying more than half of EF, posterior margins of LL with median incision in P. damana ).

MALE (THI0014): Measurements: Small sized. Body length 7.9–9.2, DS length 3.7, width 3.3, OS length 5.2, width 3.8.
