Material examined. Sri Lanka: Ceylon, leg. Schneider— 1 female (type) (Wien NHMW) ; same locality, leg. Redemann— 1 male labeled as " Allotype!" (Wien NHMW) .

Description. Medium sized species. Head: Face ovoid; forehead with very fine transverse riffles above clypeus; fastigium verticis distinctly wider than scapus, indistinctly separated from fastigium frontis by a fine transverse furrow; ocelli little distinct, in male clearly visible; subocular furrow distinct ( Figs. 79A, C View FIGURE 79 ).

Wings reduced to small flaps just surpassing hind margin of metanotum; main veins still visible (♂ Fig. 78B View FIGURE 78 inset) or indistinct (♀).

Coloration. General color dark brown, membranous areas of lighter color. Face dark brown (♀) or yellowish brown (♂).

Male. Eighth abdominal tergite prolonged, globular. Ninth abdominal tergite globular; posterior surface above ventral margin with a pair of ovoid swellings extended ventro-medially into short blunt cones; margin excised in midline "between both cones", at ventral margin with a pair of very small acute black teeth. Subgenital plate rather short with diverging lateral margins; apical margin broadly convex; styli inserted at apico-lateral angles ( Fig. 79D View FIGURE 79 ).

Female. Subgenital plate about semicircular and vaulted, unmodified. Base of ovipositor with ovoid swelling at very base of dorsal valves ( Fig. 79B View FIGURE 79 ). Ovipositor long, moderately curved; tip subacute ( Fig. 78A View FIGURE 78 ).
