Reticuluma lageniformia Wang & Zhang View in CoL sp. nov.
( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 . A–D, 2A–F)
.
Description. Coloration. Vertex yellowish, covered with dark brown reticulation, two light brown spots between eyes; eye grey with brown medial transverse stripe ( Fig. 1C View FIGURE 1 ). Face black ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ). Pronotum with light brown stripe on anterior margin. Scutellum yellowish with thin transverse black line in middle flanked by white spots ( Fig. 1C View FIGURE 1 ). Tegmina with dense and dark brown reticulations ( Fig. 1A View FIGURE 1 ).
Morphology. Head declivous, including eyes nearly as broad as pronotum; ocelli on crown, between eyes with their distance about 5.0 times than that of ocellus to adjacent eye ( Figs. 1B, C View FIGURE 1 ). Postclypeus flat; anteclypeus ridged medially, lateral margins slightly convex, truncate at apex ( Fig. 1D View FIGURE 1 ). Scutellum 0.75 times as long as pronotum ( Fig. 1C View FIGURE 1 ). Fore femur with short dorsal setae, IC row comprising 13 setae. Fore tibia with 8 setae on PD row, 6 on AD row, 17 on PV row, 25 on AV row. Hind femur macrosetal formula 2+2+1. Hind tibia with 20 macrosetae on PD row, 10 on AD row, 12 on AV row.
Male genitalia. Pygophore longer than high, with numerous short macrosetae near posterior margin ( Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ). Valve triangular. Subgenital plate extending beyond apex of pygofer, nearly triangular, with several short setae near the lateral margin and a row of moderately long macrosetae near apex ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ). Connective ‘Y’ shaped; stem slightly longer than anterior arms ( Fig. 2D View FIGURE 2 ). Style with developed preapical lobe, apical apophysis pointed, fingerlike, curved laterally; preapical lobe with several setae near inner margin ( Fig. 2C View FIGURE 2 ). Aedeagus flask-like in posterior view; shaft slender with nearly parallel lateral margins and rounded apex in posterior view, with pair of basal tuberculate processes extended dorsolateral; gonopore apical ( Figs. 2E, F View FIGURE 2 ).
Measurement. Length of male including tegmen: 3.8–4.0 mm.
Material examined. Holotype ♂ (NWAFU), CHINA, Guangxi, Napo County , 7 August 2013, coll. Xue Qin- gquan; Paratypes: 1♂ ( NWAFU), same data as holotype; 1♂ ( NWAFU), CHINA, Hainan Prov., Wuzhishan , 7 July 2008, coll. Lu Lin.
Remarks. This species resembles R. citrana Cheng & Li but differs in the male pygofer side without a process on the lateral margin; and the aedeagus flask-like in posterior view, its shaft with a rounded apex and pair of basal tuberculate processes extended dorsolaterad.
Etymology. This new specific epithet is a Latin word “ lageniformia ” referring to the flask-like aedeagus in posterior view.
