Ozineus albidus ( Monné, 2009) View in CoL comb. nov.
( Figure 3 View FIGURES 1–4 )
Tropidozineus albidus Monné, M.A., 2009: 324 View in CoL , fig. 8; Monné & Monné, 2012: 60; Wappes & Arias, 2016: 9 (holotype).
The absence of a longitudinal carinae on the elytra in this species justifies its transference to Ozineus View in CoL .
Material examined. BOLIVIA, Santa Cruz, Buena Vista , near Hotel Flora & Fauna, 350 m, female, 21.XI.2003, Nearns, Morris & Wappes ( USNM) .
Remarks. In addition to the characters mentioned in the key, the general appearance of the elytra of Ozineus albidus ( Monné, 2009) also resembles that of O. alienus Melzer, 1932 ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–4 ), but differs as follows: scape covered with brown pubescence; pronotum with brown pubescence with two anteromedian spots covered with dark-brown pubescence; pro-, meso- and metatarsi I with grayish-white pubescence. In O. alienus , the scape is bicolored, covered with whitish and dark-brown pubescence; the pronotum is covered with yellowish pubescence except for the whitish posterior margin; and the tarsi are covered with dark-brown pubescence.
