Ischnogaster fulvipennis Cameron, 1902: 106 .? Ischnogaster fuscipes Cameron, 1903: 171 .

Following Carpenter and Kojima (1997: 25) and van der Vecht’s unpublished note, we treat Ischnogaster fuscipes Cameron, 1903 , as possibly being a junior synonym of E. fulvipennis . Taxonomic status of I. fuscipes , however, needs confirmation based on further comparative study. So far we do not recognize any species similar to E. fulvipennis . Below the male characters, which are still poorly known, are described in detail.

Male. Body length (head + mesosoma + first two terga) 18.5–20.0 mm; forewing length 15.0–17.0 mm. Mandible single-toothed. Clypeus in lateral view weakly convex in dorsal two-thirds (Fig. 6), covered with dense, fine punctures and short hairs; median impunctate ridge present in apical half of clypeus (Fig. 7); parts lateral to the impunctate ridge slightly concave. Frons covered with long hairs except for hairless median part of supraclypeal area; supraclypeal area densely covered with fine punctures (interspace between punctures smaller than puncture), but particularly its lateral portions with large punctures (interspace larger than puncture); space between antennal sockets with coarse, large punctures, but small spot (smaller than anterior ocellus) just below anterior ocellus impunctate. Anterior ocellus 0.28–0.34 mm wide, 0.24–0.3 mm long, about 1.4 times as wide as posterior ocellus (diameter 0.20–0.24 mm); distance between anterior and posterior ocelli shorter than diameter of posterior ocellus; distance between posterior ocelli equal to or slightly shorter than their diameter.

Pronotum with lateral furrow deep and reaching humeral tubercle (Fig. 8); posterolateral part of pronotum with dense, shallow punctures. Scutum densely punctate. Scutellum convex, sparsely, shallowly punctate, anteriorly with short hairs, posteriorly with rather long hairs. Metanotum convex, hairy, with sparse, shallow punctures. Mesepisternum hairy, with dense, fine punctures. Propodeum without punctures, posterodorsally with long hairs.

First metasomal tergum slender (8.0– 8.7 mm long), about 7.1 times as long as its maximum height, and about 7.3 times as long as its maximum width; posterior margin of third to sixth metasomal segments covered with hairs.

Genitalia: digitus with several setae ( Fig. 59 View FIGURE 59 O); aedeagus in lateral view with apex more or less evenly rounded apically ( Fig. 59 View FIGURE 59 C).

Color: Black, but antenna brown with terminal flagellomere pale brown; first metasomal tergum dark reddish-brown; following parts yellow (markings on mesosoma and metasoma often reduced in size or sometimes absent): clypeus except for dorsal black spot (variable in size) ( Fig. 57 View FIGURE 57 ), large triangular spot below antennal socket, short line near posterodorsal corner of pronotum, paired small lateral spots on scutellum, anteromedian spot on metanotum, small scrobal spot and large spot below it on mesepisternum, paired small dorsal spots and lateral spots on propodeum, basal part and lateral spots of second tergum, paired anterior bands of third tergum. Legs brown; hind coxa dorsally with variable-sized yellow spot. Wings pale brown, slightly darker along anterior margin of forewing; veins brown.
