Type species. Cantacader avitus Drake, 1950 View in CoL .

Locality and horizon. Baltic amber of Late Eocene age is yielded from Samland Peninsula in the Kaliningrad (Königsberg) Oblast (District) of Russian Republic, former territory of Prussia, the studied inclusions are without precise localities. Rovno amber originates mostly from Klesov area in Ukraine, and is estimated to also be of Late Eocene age ( Perkovsky et al., 2003, 2007, 2010).
