Types. Holotype, female, China: Shaanxi Province, Xi’an City, Cuihua Mountain, 34°98’N, 109°00’E. August 14, 2005, from Jasminum floridum Bunge (Oleaceae) , coll. Xue, Xiao-Feng and Song, Zi-Wei. Paratypes, 10 females and 2 males, with the same data as holotype.

Relation to host. Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed.

Etymology. The specific designation floridumis is from the species name of the host plant, floridum .

Remarks. This species is similar to Tegolophus bashaniae Xue, Song, Amrine & Hong, 2006 , but can be differentiated by median line absent (median line present in T. bashaniae ), empodium 4-rayed (empodium 8- rayed in T. bashaniae ), female genital coverflap with 8 longitudinal ridges (female genital coverflap with 16 longitudinal ridges in T. bashaniae ).
