Key to the species of Colochela
1 Body black entirely in both sexes; dorsum of head densely punctured, thorax and abdomen densely punctured and microsculptured, mat or almost so; mesoscutellar appendage (posttergite) with some large punctures and a distinct middle carina; third antennomere as long as following two antennomeres together; cercus short, about 2 times as long as broad; ovipositor sheath 1.5 times as long as front tibia; sheath tapering toward apex in dorsal view and about 2 times as broad as breadth of cercus ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2. a – c j); lancet as Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 a, with about 27 serrulae, annular spines short and sparse, middle and apical segments as Figs 4 View FIGURE 4 g, 4d; harpes 1.0-1.1 times as long as broad; penis valve as Figs 5 View FIGURE 5 j–l................................................. C. nigrata
- Body black with red mesonotum in both sexes; dorsum of head impunctate or nearly so, mesonotum hardly punctured, without distinct microsculpture; posttergite flat and shiny, impunctate, without middle carina; abdominal tergites at least feebly shiny; third antennomere shorter or longer than following two antennomeres together; cercus slender, about 4 times as long as broad; ovipositor sheath 1.1–1.2 times as long as front tibia; sheath distinctly broadened toward apex in dorsal view and about 3.5–4 times as broad as breadth of cercus ( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2. a – c k–l); lancet as Figs 4 View FIGURE 4 b–c, with 15–17 serrulae, annular spines absent or long and very dense, middle and apical serrulae as Figs 4 View FIGURE 4 h–i, 4e–f; harpes about 1.9–2.0 times as long as broad; penis valve as Figs 5 View FIGURE 5 m– r................................................................................................... 2
2 Abdominal tergites strongly shiny, without distinct microsculpture ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3. a i); antenna about 0.8 times as long as head and thorax together, third antennomere 1.2 times as long as following two antennomeres together, 7th and 8th antennomeres about 1.3 times as long as broad ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3. a f); setae on sheath as Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2. a – c k; lancet as Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 b, middle and apical segments as Figs 4 View FIGURE 4 h, 4e; penis valve as Figs 5 View FIGURE 5 m–o.............................................................................. C. rufidorsata
- Abdominal tergites distinct microsculptured, feebly shiny ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3. a j); antenna as long as head and thorax together, third antennomere about 0.9 times as long as following two antennomeres together; 7th and 8th antennomeres about 2.3 times as long as broad ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3. a g); setae on sheath as Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2. a – c l; lancet as Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 c, middle and apical segments as Figs 4 View FIGURE 4 i, 4f; penis valve as Figs 5 View FIGURE 5 p–r..................................................................................................
