Material examined. Mazandaran Province, Nowshahr-Ecology Garden N 36º 38' 51", E 51º 30' 64", 30 m a.s.l., breeding in twigs of Populus sp. ( Salicaceae ) Sudabe Amini leg., 4 specimens, September 2014.
This species was previously known only from Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Turkey ( Knížek 2011) and Daghestan ( Russia) ( Petrov, 2005), collected only from mistletoe ( Viscum album ) growing on Populus , but not directly from Populus itself. Our record is the first finding of this genus in Iran.
