Holotype, ”, length of body 6.4 mm, of fore wing 5.4 mm.

Head. Remaining antennal segments 46 and 21, length of third segment 1.25 times fourth, length of third and fourth segments 3.3 and 2.7 times their maximal width; maxillary palp 1.2 times height of head; length of eye in dorsal view 1.8 times temple; temple directly narrowed posteriorly, punctate-coriaceous; OOL: diameter of ocellus: POL~6.0:3.0:2.0; frons smooth medially, shiny, laterally punctatecoriaceous ( figure 93 View FIGS ); vertex convex, coarsely punctate-granulose, rounded near stemmaticum; face convex, striate-punctate, smooth between punctures; clypeus weakly convex, in lateral view, and punctate; length of malar space equal to basal width of mandible; occipital flange short and rounded.

Mesosoma ( figure 94 View FIGS ). Length of mesosoma 1.45 times its maximal height; side of pronotum crenulate posteriorly, basally coriaceous, medially crenulate; mesopleuron sculptured below precoxal sulcus and with some horizontal grooves near tegula; precoxal sulcus distinctly crenulate, but punctate anteriorly; metapleuron sparsely punctate-coriaceous; scutellar sulcus with some small carina posteriorly; mesoscutum coarsely punctate; scutellum convex, punctate; propodeum convex in lateral view, coriaceous with small transverse rugae posteriorly; mid-longitudinal carina of propodeum present anteriorly; metapleural flange small and angled.

Wings. Fore wing: r: SR1z3-SR~10:40; 2-SR: r-m~11:6; second submarginal cell subsessile; subbasal cell glabrous anteriorly; vein 3-CU1 as long as vein CU1b. Hind wing: vein 2-M coloured; membrane largely glabrous basally.

Legs. Hind coxa coriaceous, with some rugae dorsally; lengths of hind femur, tibia and basitarsus 4.8, 7 and 9.3 times their widths, respectively; hind femur coriaceous, its ventral border in lateral view weakly irregular; tibial spurs 0.57 and 0.43 times basitarsus.

Metasoma ( figure 49 View FIGS ). First tergite 2.5 times longer than apically wide, coriaceous, medially weakly concave; spiracles protruding; second tergite coriaceous; second suture smooth, straight; ovipositor sheath 0.17 times fore wing length.

Colour. Yellow-brownish; tegula, humeral plate, hind trochantellus yellowish; basal four-fifths of hind basitarsus, hind tibial spurs yellow-whitish; wings weakly, antenna apically infuscate; telotarsus, apex of hind tibia, apex of hind basitarsus, remainder of hind tarsus blackish.

Variation. Number of antennal segments varies between 47 and 52 (but 63 in one specimen), body yellow to brownish yellow.

Remarks. According to De Saeger (1956), this species is associated with riverine and/or marsh vegetation ( Poaceae and Cyperaceae ) or degraded gallery forest with Irwingia, Nauclea spp. and/or some Zingiberaceae species (altitude between 710 and 1000 m).
