Type material. HOLOTYPE, ” (OC): French Guiana: Cayenne, Lac des Américains ( Matoury ), week 18 1998 (Malaise trap). PARATYPES (OC): French Guiana : „, Cayenne , Lac des Américains , week 15–16 1998 (Malaise trap). Trinidad ( ZMA): „, San Fernando, April–May 1997 ( R. Sommeyer and B. V. Aartsen).

Holotype, ”, length of body 4 mm, of fore wing 4 mm.

Head. Antenna with 46 segments, length of third segment 1.3 times fourth, length of third, fourth and penultimate segments four, three and three times their maximal width, respectively; apical segment 3.5 times its maximal width; length of eye in dorsal view three times temple; eyes glabrous; temple directly narrowed posteriorly, coriaceous; OOL: diameter of ocellus: POL~6.0:4.0:3.0; frons smooth medially, laterally sparsely punctate; vertex convex, punctate, flattened near stemmaticum; face convex, punctate; clypeus convex and smooth; maxillary palp 1.15 times height of head; length of malar space equal to basal width of mandible; malar suture absent; occipital flange rounded posteriorly and straight ventrally.

Mesosoma. Length of mesosoma 1.4 times its maximal height; side of pronotum medio-anteriorly crenulate and remainder smooth; mesopleuron sparsely punctate, smooth and shiny; precoxal sulcus complete, coarsely punctate medially; metapleuron smooth; mesoscutum punctate; scutellar sulcus large with small carinae posteriorly; scutellum convex, smooth and shiny; surface of propodeum medially convex, with short unordered medio-transverse rugae, elsewhere smooth; medianlongitudinal carina of propodeum present anteriorly; metapleural flange blunt.

Wings. Fore wing: r: SR1z3-SR~10:32; 2-SRr-m~9:5; second submarginal cell petiolate; subbasal cell glabrous anteriorly; vein 3-CU1 as long as, and angled with vein CU1b. Hind wing: 2-M coloured; membrane largely glabrous basally.

Legs. Hind coxa with rugae dorsally, smooth; hind femur punctate, its ventral border irregular; lengths of hind femur, tibia and basitarsus 5.83, 8.8 and 8.4 times their widths, respectively; tibial spurs 0.43 and 0.33 times basitarsus; hind tibia with three apical teeth.

Metasoma. First tergite 3.17 times its apical width; flattened surface of first tergite weakly coriaceous and shiny; spiracles protruding; second tergite smooth and shiny; T2 1.25 times longer than T3; second suture smooth, straight; ovipositor sheath 0.2 times fore wing length.

Colour. Yellowish but dorsal part of body more orange. Antenna apically, ovipositor sheath, apical patch of fore wing (0.3 cell SR1), stemmaticum, hind tibia apical third, hind tibial spurs, basal 0.3 of hind basitarsus blackish/infuscate; T5–T6 brownish.
