Distribution in Iran. Mazandaran ( Ghahari et al. 2010a), West Azarbaijan ( Karimpour et al. 2001). Distribution outside Iran. Belgium, former Czechoslovakia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, UK ( Yu et al. 2012).

Host records. Simara dentinosa ( Karimpour et al. 2001; Yu et al. 2012). It has been also reported from Acronicta aceris , A. rumicis , Spilosoma lubricipida ( Nixon 1974; Yu et al. 2012) and Euthrix potatoria ( Yu et al. 2012) .
