Type host. Spotted redshank, Tringa erythropus (Pallas) (Syn. Totanus fuscus Linnaeus ) ( Charadriiformes : Scolopacidae )— Uchida et al. (1991).
Type locality. Sizuoka Prefecture, Japan—Uchida et al. (1991).
Remarks. This species was originally described as Cyclocoelum turusigi Yamaguti, 1939 , but was considered to be a synonym of Cyclocoelum allahabadi Khan, 1935 (= Selfcoelum allahabadi [ Khan, 1935] n. comb.) by Bashkirova (1950) and of Cyclocoelum ovopunctatum Stossich, 1902 by Dubois (1959). It has a genital pore that is located at the posterior end of the pharynx. No oral or ventral sucker described—Yamaguti (1939).
