Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. cultratus sp. nov., but can be distinguished from the later by yellowish brown pronotum, dark brown scutellar shield, and parameres about 3/4 as long as penis guide ( Figs 8a–c, 8g View FIGURE 8 ). In S. cultratus , pronotum is yellow, scutellar shield is black, and parameres are about 1/3 as long as penis guide ( Figs 7a–c, 7g View FIGURE 7 ).
Description. TL: 2.21–2.89 mm, TW: 1.59–2.03 mm, TH: 0.86–1.17 mm.
Body oval, moderately convex, surfaces covered with short pubescence ( Figs 8a–c View FIGURE 8 ). Head yellowish brown with interocular distance distinctly greater than eye width in frontal view. Pronotum yellowish brown. Scutellar shield dark brown. Elytra black with yellowish brown apices. Ventral surfaces yellowish brown to black. Legs yellowish brown. Abdominal postcoxal lines incomplete, recurved toward the base of ventrite ( Fig. 8d View FIGURE 8 ).
Male genitalia: Penis long and slender, penis capsule with short outer arm and long inner one, apex of penis pointed ( Figs 8e–f View FIGURE 8 ). Penis guide long and slender in lateral view, approximately parallel sided for basal 4/5, then gradually narrowing to pointed apex; parameres about 3/4 as long as penis guide, densely covered with long setae at apex and inner sides; penis guide approximately parallel sided for basal 1/ 2 in ventral view, bifurcated apically ( Figs 8g –h View FIGURE 8 ).
Female genitalia: Coxites distinctly elongate, triangular; styli reduced with terminal setae; spermatheca distinctly curved, with basal ramus and elongate nodulus ( Figs 3c, 3g View FIGURE 3 ).
