Type species: Hyaliodocoris frosti Knight 1943:119 . Original designation. Hyaliodocoris : Carvalho 1957:49 (catalog); Akingbohungbe 1979 (key to world genera); Schuh 2002 –2013 (online catalog); Hyaliodomiris Carvalho 1946:5 (new genus, host; synonymized by Carvalho 1954A:423).
Diagnosis. Head twice as long as wide; eyes removed from the collar by a distance less than half its width; antennal segments I and II cylindrical; antennal segment I equal to or smaller than the vertex width. Pronotum slightly narrowed towards the collar.
