Diagnosis. Elongate species, more than two times longer than wide. Pronotum narrowed slightly at the base of the calli. Scutellum smooth and not hidden by the posterior margin of pronotum. Male genitalia with the right paramere bifurcated ( Carvalho & Ferreira 1995; Ferreira & Henry 2011).

Remarks. Carvalho & Gomes (1971A) describe new species of Eccritotarsus . Carvalho & Schaffner (1987) provided a checklist and key to the species of Eccritotarsus ; Carvalho & Ferreira (1995), a key to separate the Bryocorinae genera in the Neotropical Region; Alvarez-Zapata et al. (2022), a synopsis and key to genera and species from Colombia.
