Pycnoderes cataguasensis Carvalho, 1988 A:70 (original description, illustration).
Diagnosis. Head, pronotum, and scutellum black and shiny. Pronotum convex and lacking a median groove. Hemelytra black and opaque with patches of silvery pruinosity. Embolium with a pale subbasal spot less than twice the length of the apical spot. Male genitalia as figure 11-J.
