NOVA SCOTIA: Kings Co.: Kentville , 10.vii.1978, H.B. Specht, at light in residence, ACNS .
An introduced Palearctic species, newly recorded in Nova Scotia and in the Maritime Provinces as a whole ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ). Widely distributed in the USA ( Beal 2003); in Canada recorded from the Northwest Territories, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Québec (Bousquet 1991). A synanthropic species associated with dried stored products and a pest in museums and insect collections. ( Mertins 1981).
