Newly recorded in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and the Maritime Provinces as a whole ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 ). Widely distributed throughout the USA except for northern New England ( Beal 2003); in Canada recorded from British Columbia, Ontario, and Québec (Bousquet 1991). A synanthropic species recorded as a minor pest in animal and vegetable materials; also in granaries and as a pest of insect collections ( Bousquet 1990).
