( Figs. 8, 9 View FIGURES 6 – 9 , 41 View FIGURES 38 – 43 , 57 View FIGURES 54 – 59 , 75 View FIGURES 72 – 75 , 92, 106, 125)

Distribution. China (Yunnan) ( Fig. 125 View FIGURE 125 ).

Material examined. Holotype, Yunnan: ♀, Songzanlinsi, Xianggelila (27°51′N, 99°42′E, alt. 3000 m), 18.07.2004, Hu Zhou leg ( CSCS).

Etymology. The specific epithet, refers to the large punctures on the hind coxa.

Female ( Figs. 8, 9 View FIGURES 6 – 9 ): Body length 9.0 mm. Body black, with white pattern as follows: labrum, clypeus except a medial stripe, supraclypeal area, broad lower part of inner orbit connected to lower part of hind orbit, an extreme narrow stripe on upper part of inner orbit, an extreme oblique stripe on temple, middle of mesoscutellum, middle of mesoscutellar appendage and metascutellum, posterodorsal metepisternum, posterior metepimeron, a medial stripe on each posterior margin of tergum 3 and 4, a small spot near spiracle of each tergum, posterolateral margin of each tergum; legs black, with yellow-white pattern as follows: each trochanter, underside of fore and middle legs from base of femora to claws, basal 1/4 of hind femur. Wings pale brown, subhyaline, vein C of fore wing brown, stigma and other veins black.

Punctures on labrum sparse, shallow and minute, on clypeus sparse, large; punctures on vertex and frons dense and large, space between punctures with distinct sculpture, slightly shiny; mesoscutum with dense punctures, slightly shiny; punctures on upper mesepisternum large, rough and irregular, on lower part dense, regular and smaller than on upper part; punctures on mesepimeron quite minute, sculpture distinct, slightly shiny; metepisternum with minute and dense punctures, slightly shiny, punctures on metepimeron large and sparse, distinctly shiny ( Fig. 75 View FIGURES 72 – 75 ); punctures on medial mesoscutellum shallow and minute, on laterally deep and large, distinctly shiny; mesoscutellar appendage with sparse and quite shallow punctures, sculpture distinct, space between punctures slightly shiny; terga with sparse and shallow punctures, shiny; punctures on outer hind coxa quiet large.

Anterior margin of labrum truncate, medially with a shallow notch; clypeus truncately incised to about 1/3 of its medial length, lateral lobe blunt; malar space broader than diameter of median ocellus; inner margins of eyes distinctly convergent downwards; supra-antennal tubercle indistinct; frontal area elevats, slightly below top of eyes in lateral view, frontal ridge blunt; median and lateral fovea shallow, indistinct ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 38 – 43 ); interocellar and postocellar furrow wide; postocellar area elevated, 2.5 times as broad as long, lateral postocellar furrows shallow and roundly convergent posterior; head distinctly narrowed behind eyes in dorsal view ( Fig. 57 View FIGURES 54 – 59 ). Antenna shorter than combined length of thorax and abdomen, flagellomere 1 about 0.95 times length of flagellomere 2, some apical flagellomeres compressed. Mesoscutellum elevated, lateral carina blunt, mesoscutellar appendage with acute middle carina. Hind tarsomere 1 about 1.1 times as long as following 4 tarsomeres combined, claw with inner tooth shorter than outer tooth. Fore wing with middle petiole of anal cell 1/3 time as long as basal part of anal cell, 1.2 times as long as vein R+M; petiole of hind wing anal cell shorter than 1/ 2 vein cu-a.

Ovipositor sheath as long as hind tarsomere 1 in lateral view, valvula 3 round at apex and 1.3 times as long as valvifer 2. Lancet with 22 serrulae (Fig. 92), base of each serrula distinctly elevated, middle serrula each with 2 basal denticles and 10–11 distal denticles (Fig. 106).

Male. Unknown.

Discussion. This species is similar to P. cinctulata and may be distinguished as follows ( P. cinctulata in parentheses): hind trochanter completely white (hind trochanter completely black); middle of mesoscutellum, middle of mesoscutellar appendage and metascutellum white (mesoscutellum, mesoscutellar appendage and metascutellum completely black); posterior margin of tergum 3 and 4 each with a medial white stripe (terga completely black). It is also similar to P. maculopediba and may be distinguished by ( P. maculopediba in parentheses): punctures on mesepisternum rough, their diameter and depth irregular, distance between them also irregular (punctures on mesepisternum not rough, their diameter and depth regular, distances between them also regular); mesoscutum and mesopleuron completely black (mesoscutum with white spots; lower part of mesepisternum with a white posterior stripe); hind trochanter completely white (hind trochanter with outer black spots). Except for the punctures on mesepisternum and serrulae, reliable morphological differences between these three species were not found.
