Figs 15–18 View FIGURES 15 – 18
Diagnosis. This species differs from other Priopoda by combination of all the following characters: 1) impunctate coriaceous shiny mesopleuron; 2) claws not pectinate ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ); 3) radius intercepts pterostigma at middle; 4) trapezoidal clypeus ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ); 5) lower part of metapleuron black ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ).
Description. Holotype male. Fore wing 7 mm long, body about 9 mm. Antenna with 33 flagellomeres. Scapus 0.75 × as long as wide. Head not narrowed behind eyes. Maximal length of temple equal to transverse eye diameter; minimal length of temple equal to transverse eye diameter. Face 1.14 × height of eye; convex, medially bulging ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ). Clypeus trapezoidal, separated from face by shallow impression ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ). Apical margin of clypeus moderately obtuse. Clypeal foveae not large. Malar space as wide as basal mandible width. Lower mandible tooth longer and wider than upper. Occipital carina complete, not reaching hypostomal carina. Head matt, granulate.
Mesosoma matt, coriaceous, setose. Propleuron without lobe. Pronotum on sides not punctate. Epomiae absent. Notaulus shallowly impressed at base. Mesoscutum not punctate. Mesopleuron coriaceous, not punctate. Epicnemial carina raised not strongly. Postpectal carina absent. Scutellum convex, without lateral carinae, not punctate. Fore wing with areolet not petiolate. Radius intercepting stigma at the middle. Second recurrent vein with a single bulla. Nervellus intercepted below the middle. Nervulus interstitial. Femur length 6.42 × its width; ratio of segments 1-5 of hind tarsus 16: 7: 5: 3: 4. Claws not pectinate ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ). Propodeum with weak apical transverse carinae ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ).
Metasoma matt, coriaceous, not punctate. First metasomal tergite straight and elongate; its width 0.41 × its length; without shallow longitudinal impressions; bordered by lateral longitudinal carinae; medial longitudinal carinae absent. Glymma not extremely deep. Second metasomal tergite with longitudinal carina at base, elongate. Subgenital plate with single notch. Parameres large, scoop-like ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ).
Coloration. Body yellowish ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ). Antennal flagella (except base ventrally), occiput, mesoscutum, upper edge of mesopleuron, metapleuron, macula on propodeum, dorsal part of hind tibia, and first metasomal tergite (except apical margin) blackish. Stigma pale.
Type material: Holotype male. Nepal, Kathmandu, Pulchauki, 8000 ft, 4–7.viii.1967, CNC.
