Baccha concinna Williston, 1891 View in CoL — Williston, 1891: 38. Type locality: Mexico, Guerrero, Chilpancingo. Type female BMNH (not examined).
Ocyptamus concinnus View in CoL . Thompson et al., 1976: 15 (catalog citation).
As in P. dracula except: Male. Wing bare on most of posterior ½ of cell bm and anterior margin of cu p. Genitalia: Surstylus setulae shorter. Basiphallus with posterior apex long and gently curved posteriorly; distiphallus with anterior surface strongly curved posteriorly. Postgonite ventro-apical extremity more rounded. Female. Second tergite rectangular and long, length ~1.5 times minimum width. Genitalia: 7th tergite with some pile on apical ½, apical margin slightly concave. Eighth tergite with short extensions at the dorsal start of the basal crest, densely pilose (unusual for Pelecinobaccha View in CoL ).
Length. 9–11mm; wing 7–8.5mm.
Distribution. Guatemala, Mexico (Chiapas, Guerrero).
Material examined. GUATEMALA. Purchased from Fritz Plaumann by Paul H. Arnaud, Jr., Collection of Paul Arnaud Jr. [green label] April 1966 (1 ♂, USNM ENT 00257738). MEXICO. Comments. Nigel Wyatt studied the type specimens in the BMNH, confirming the wing microtrichosity difference between B. concinna and B. dracula .
