Naevolus naevus Evans, 1955 View in CoL , new status

Named by Evans (1955) as a subspecies of Naevolus orius (Mabille, 1883) from western Ecuador, naevus differs from orius not only in wing patterns, but also in male genitalia ( Evans 1955), in addition to genetic differences ( Fig. 15 View Figure 15 ) and COI barcode difference of 4% (26 bp), supporting its new status as a distinct species.
