Type species. Stylarioides longisetosus von Marenzeller, 1890 View in CoL , by original designation.
Diagnosis. Flabelligerids with body anteriorly swollen, tapered posteriorly. Cephalic cage made by chaetigers 1–2 (rarely only chaetiger 1), with more than four chaetae per bundle. Integument thin with long papillae, each with mud particles. Branchial plate with eight branchial filaments of one type, cirriform. Parapodia sometimes laterally projected. Notochaetae and neurochaetae abundant, usually as long as body width, or longer. Neurochaetae basally anchylosed, medially and distally multiarticulate.
