Other distribution: Indonesia (Java), Malaysia (W.), Philippines, Vietnam. (3)

Taxonomy: The species was transferred from Xyleborus to Ambrosiodmus by Wood and Bright (1992). However, it has the morphological characters of the genus Immanus Hulcr and Cognato (2013) , and is here transferred to that genus.

Biology: Recorded from Castanospermum (Leguminosae) only. The gallery system is branched and lies in one transverse plane ( Kalshoven 1959).
