Additional material examined. INDONESIA: SUMATRA: Liangagas, 1 ♀, Dohrn leg. ( ZMHB).

Comments. JACOBY (1899) described Metellus nigripennis only from one locality, Soekaranda. Therefore the female specimen labelled as cotype in the ZMHB collected in Liangagas cannot be treated as part of the type series.
