Host-plants. Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaerth. in the Crimea; in other regions also other spesies of Alnus , occasionally Betula pendula Roth and B. pubescens Ehrh.
Type of distribution (chorological group). Euro-Mediterranean; the species is widespread in Europe: from Portugal and Spain to Finland and the Crimea.
Material examined. CRIMEA: 49 km S Simferopol, Alushta, empty leaf-mines on Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn., fieldwork card no. 5066, 08.viii.2011, leg. J. R. Stonis, A. Navickaitė & G. Varačinskas.
Remarks. The species is rare in the Crimea: highly limited in distribution and not abundant. It occurs near to streams or rivers.
