Host-plant. Sorbus torminalis (L.) Crantz. in the Crimea (as in other regions).
Type of distribution (chorological group). Euro-Submediterranean; the species known from Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany, Slovenia and Crimea.
Material examined. CRIMEA: 14♂, 5♀, 20 km SW Feodosiya, Karadag Reserve, mining larvae on Sorbus torminalis (L.) Crantz, fieldwork card no. 5036, 17.vii–04.viii.2011, leg. A. Diškus, A. Navickaitė & G. Varačinskas, genitalia slide nos AN 468♂, AN 524♂, AN 525♂; 12 km E Sudak, Sonyachna Dolyna, empty leafmines on Sorbus torminalis (L.) Crantz, fieldwork card no. 5036, 17.vii.2011, leg. A. Diškus, A. Navickaitė.
Remarks. The species is very common in the Crimea: widespread and extremely abundant.
