Lectotype (designated here):— THAILAND, Doi Chiang Dao , 5 Jun 1921, Kerr 5611 (K!; isolectotype BM)
Distribution and Habitat:—Montane forest to 1200 m in Northern Thailand.
Taxonomic Notes:—Represented only by a male type specimen. Morphologically it is similar to Garcinia anomala but with smaller stature, leaves and flowers.
