Generitype of Punica Linnaeus.

Current name: Punica granatum L. View in CoL ( Punicaceae ).

Note: Vu Van Cuong (in Aubréville, Fl. Cambodge Laos Vietnam 4: 191. 1965) and Siddiqi (in Jafri & El-Gadi, Fl. Libya 76: 2. 1980) indicated material at LINN as type but failed to distinguish between 638.1 and 638.2. As they do not appear to be part of the same gathering, Art. 9.15 does not apply.
