Amphinemura hamatmicroda Du & Wang View in CoL , sp. nov.

( Figs. 16–22 View FIGURES 16 – 22 )

Adult habitus. Head brown, antennae pale brown; head wider than pronotum, pronotum brown; wings hyaline, veins brown; legs pale brown.

Male. Forewing length 6.2 mm, hind wing length 5.4 mm. Tergum 9 lightly sclerotized, except at its concaved posterior margin where it is darkly sclerotized, a row of long, pale brown spines located on the raised posterior margin. Tergum 10 lightly sclerotized, membranous near middle of anterior margin, a wide sclerotized plate present under the apex of the epiproct with 5-8 scattered denticles, a second sclerotized, rhombic plate under the epiproct. Hypoproct broad at base, tapering to a bluntly rounded apex, covering most of inner lobes of paraprocts; vesicle length 3X width. Paraprocts divided into 3 lobes, inner lobe most darkly sclerotized apicomedially; median lobe with long hairs on the wide, lightly sclerotized base, narrowed at middle part, forming a large, hooked membranous bar that curves ventrolaterally, a line of denticles densely arranged on the outer margin of the bar, the basal part of the bar bulging toward the contrary direction, membranous; outer lobe sclerotized, slender and long, with a rounded apex. Epiproct length 4X width in dorsal aspect, tapering to a notched apex; dorsal sclerite lightly sclerotized, tapering to narrowed apex; lateral arms darkly sclerotized; ventral sclerite extends over dorsal sclerite, forming a long, thin bar, a row of blunt denticle located on median of ventral surface.

20 21 22 of denticles located on it outer margin. The Latin hamatus and microdus meaning hook–shaped and denticle, respectively.

Remarks. This new species is similar to Amphinemura forcipiloba Wu, 1962 in having a thin, long epiproct, but the median paraproct lobe of the new species has a large, hook-shaped membranous bar curving ventrolaterally and armed with a line of denticles on the outer margin of the bar. In A. forcipiloba , the median lobe lacks the hook-shaped projection.
